Garden fence pull back entrance

A pull back entrance utilizes the post and sleeve materials in the fence kit. When installing fence kit, ground sleeves are driven into the ground and posts then telescope into the ground sleeves. This method makes the posts removable and also gets rid of the need for concrete. Posts are locked into ground sleeves using small nails. To make a pull back entrance, you would place two posts side by side and leave one of them unlocked. The unlocked post, with the fence material attached can be lifted out of the sleeve. This creates an area of the fence you can pull back to enter/exit. If you want a neat pull back entrance, you can purchase an additional ground sleeve to put the post into once you lift it out of your fence line. Additional sleeves are found here with posts.
An example of a small fence kit (7posts) rectangular layout with a pullback using 90 linear feet:

Any variation of the above will work as well. For instance, spacing the above design with 16.5 feet will use all 100 linear feet in a small fence kit. Keep in mind that the pulled back fence area won't be staked to the ground, or you'll have to re-stake it each time you enter/exit. It's best create the smallest opening size you'll need for the enclosure, as even the best built gate or pull back won't be as secure as your line fence.
